What do I do?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Radiator valves can make a squeaky noise. If you live on the ground, 1<sup>st<\/sup> or 2<sup>nd<\/sup> floor, the sound can spread through the vertical pipes between the floors and to the neighbours. This happens often. Follow this troubleshooting guide before contacting the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Completely close the radiator valve from which you can hear the squeaky noise.<\/strong><ul><li>Does it stop?<ul><li>If Yes: Then see the section below &#8220;I found the problem&#8221;.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Do you live on 3<sup>rd<\/sup>?<\/strong><ul><li>If yes: The noise cannot come from other apartments. Contact a plumber to resolve the issue. The owners &#8216;association does not pay for problems relation to the owners&#8217; own installations.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Is the pipe connected to the neighbouring apartment?<\/strong><ul><li>If yes: Then the following also applies to your neighbour, as well as your neighbour&#8217;s above and below neighbours. There can be up to 6 radiator valves on the same vertical pipe.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Try to get your above and below neighbours from the ground floor up to and including the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> floor to close their radiator valves one by one.<\/strong><ul><li>Does the sound stop when one of the valves is closed?<ul><li>If yes: then see the &#8220;I found the problem&#8221; section below.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>If the sound does not stop, try closing all the valves on the string and then open them one by one.<\/strong><ul><li>If the noise comes back, when you open a specific valve: Then see the section &#8220;I have found the problem&#8221; below.<\/li><li>If the noise does not stop, contact the board.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I found the problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the noise stops when you close the radiator valve, you have found the right radiator valve.<br>Try opening and closing the valve completely a few times. If that does not help, try removing the thermostat and pushing the pawl on the valve in a few times.<br>If you cannot stop the noise, contact a plumber to have the valve replaced.
